About the Hulls Grove Recreation Area

The Hulls Grove Recreation Area consists of pool, dressing rooms, basketball and tennis court, volleyball court and surrounding areas. These areas are supported by and intended for the enjoyment of the members and guests of Hulls Grove, Ridge 1, Ridge II and the Hulls Grove Townhouse neighborhoods. One access key is issued for each home in these neighborhoods. The key operates both the pool gate and the tennis court gate. If the key is lost, a $20 replacement charge will be made for each new key issued. The members are asked to observe the following rules when using the recreation area.

General Rules

Glass containers of any kind are prohibited in any part of the recreation area including the pool, dressing rooms, tennis court, parking lot and grassy areas. Gates should be kept closed and locked at all times. Only members should have keys, and no keys should be loaned or given to friends. Guests of members are welcome to use the recreation area provided that the member is present at all times. There is a limit of two guests per member at any one time unless prior arrangements are made by reserving the recreation area for private parties or events. Members are responsible for damage to and cleaning after using the recreation area. Food scraps and beverage spills must be removed immediately. We have a big problem with ants and other insects.

Reservations

The recreation area may be reserved for exclusive use for parties and other events for up to three hours per event between Monday morning until 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The entire recreation area or just part may be reserved. No private party reservations are permitted on weekends or on holidays. To reserve the recreation area, a Use Agreement Form must be submitted and a $100 cleaning and damage deposit made. Contact IMS for a copy of the Use Agreement Form. A reservation must be made at least two weeks in advance of the event and the reservation must be noted on the calendar in the storage room. Members who schedule private parties are responsible for cleaning after the event. The 8:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. “quiet time” rule applies to all parties and events.

Pool Area

Hours for general use are 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. Children under 13 must be accompanied by an adult. The period from 8:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. is “quiet time” when all recreation area users will, keep noise and other sounds to a minimum. All members are asked to use the buddy system and never swim alone. Glass containers, gum, cut-off shorts and disposable diapers are not permitted in the pool. Diving, running and jumping are prohibited in the pool area. Small floatation devices are permitted in the pool but larger devices like watereraft, kayaks, inner tubes and fishing float tubes are prohibited. All swimmers must shower before entering the pool. Swimming lessons may not be offered at the pool.

Tennis, Basketball and Volley Ball Courts

Users are asked to wear only court shoes on the court surfaces. Bicycles, Skateboards and other wheels are prohibited from the courts. Games should be limited to 60 minutes if other members are waiting to use the courts. Equipment and nets should be placed in the storeroom after use.

Pets

For health reasons, no pets of any kind are allowed in the recreation area, the pool area or the dressing rooms at any time.

Loudness and Foul or Abusive Language

Please respect others by keeping conversations and communications low. Avoid yelling or other loudness and remind guests of this requirement. The Association has a “zero tolerance” policy for any foul or abusive language. Members or guests who violate this policy will have their access key confiscated and their right to use the common areas terminated immediately.

Enforcement

The Board of Directors for Hulls Grove Master Association have approved and adopted these rules on behalf of all members of the association. The Board reviews and modifies the rules annually as needed. Members are asked to assist in enforcing these rules, in reporting violations and in proposing changes to them. Members who violate these rules may have their access keys confiscated, their rights to use the common areas terminated and will be fined $100 to have their keys returned and rights to use reinstated.

Questions

If questions arise about any of the recreation area rules, members are asked to contact Juanita at IMS. Questions will be directed to the appropriate person or committee. Ideas, comments and suggestions are always welcome. Please contact:
